Say hello to my soapstone sculpture from my Senior year of High School, 2006. We had to incorporate three principles of art. Mine were Line, Rhythm, and uh, something else I cannot remember.... It's bigger than the palm of your hand, and kinda heavy, but it was really fun. Soapstone is some of the softest stone to carve, so you take off too much and your screwed. The spiral goes all the way around as you can see, and it was actually a ton of fun. First time carving Soapstone, but I Love subtractive sculpture (one of the hardest types of sculpture.)
I always did love all of those soap stone sculptures. Connie's the most, but your's is awesome too. You should get a picture of it with a quarter or a playing card for sizing reference (:

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
